That someone from Cobb recomended and I get a lot
Of fumes coming in the car.I totally get that there's
Fumes before the tune but shouldn't that go away?

Went away.you think that's what I need or maybe a

It's been happening since DP was installed.
It's that raw gas smell that if you have windows
open you can smell it. Everything looks like its
bolted up correctly.

This.

But also, new mufflers have a distinct smell. If you used PB blaster or Loctite (or the shop did I suppose) during the install, it will smell for a few weeks after the installation.

I know I am reviving an old thread here, but hey...I used the search. Although this topic is about catless downpipes, I can asume hi-flow cats will also give a stronger smell than stock? I'm asking because I notice some stronger gas smells from my exhaust, along with a little more soot on the tips. I am currently running a catted downpipe from Grimmspeed, and recently got my vehicle tuned by Cobb in Plano. The weather has also been colder due to the changing of seasons....should I be concerned? Additionally, what gauge and values should I monitor on my Accessport? I'm currently monitoring: MAF, intake temp, fine knock learning, feedback knock corrections, DAM, and boost. I've contacted Cobb, but they're consulting within their company to give me an answer...in the meantime I'd like to gather as much information and theories as well. Thanks!
