This is perfectly normal.
Engine compartment noise
Hey everyone! I have a 2017 Premium with 1,600 miles. Everytime i shut the car off after some decent driving or after giving it the beans i get a loud popping/crackling metallic noise from the engine bay. Is this common maybe because the car is still new or should i look into it?

Agreed. I *think* it is exhaust bits / heat shields contracting as they cool.
Thanks again, i believed that was the case but how loud the noise was really threw me off! My friends stopped talking mid conversation when they heard it! Thnx again!
