Hi, Im looking to upgrade to AP stage 2 on my 2006 wrx, but what i think ive decided on is keeping my stock catback and upgrading the downpipe to meet specs for the stage 2 map. my problem is i dont know which aftermarket downpipes will just easily bolt on to my stock exhaust! I was looking into megan racing (ive heard mixed things) anyone know of a downpipe that will fit & wont break the bank? Thank you!

Most downpipes will bolt directly to the stock catback. For some you may need an adaptor (essentially a 3" to 2.25" reducer w/ gaskets). Others, like the Cobb DP, actually utilize the stock donut gasket so it will bolt right up to the stock catback.

I bolted up my invidia downpipe to stock exhaust. I don't think the seal was all that great though. I believe TurboXs makes a mid pipe that reduces from 3" to stock axel back.
