Your okay man, you just burned your clutch a little. It's no big deal. Sounds like you started out in 3rd gear instead of first if you reved it up to 6000 rpms and it wouldn't move.
There's nothing wrong with taking pride in your car. I am fanatical about mine as well. I insist on taking my wife's car everywhere for fear that mine will get another dent.
