The map specifies that it should be good for any 3" catted downpipe.

So my paranoia that all catted downpipes are not created equal is just paranoia. The map specifies that it should be good for any 3" catted downpipe.

You are correct in thinking that all catted downpipes are not quite created equal. However, they all use high flow cats and are all designed very similarly so they are VERY close in comparability. The difference between a Cobb, GrimmSpeed, Nameless, etc. will be negligible in regards to the ECU adjustments. The people who created Cobb's off the shelf tunes such as this "stage 2 MAP" we are speaking of, made them with the idea in mind that most people may not use their downpipe product. Since this tune is blanketed, it will be more conservative than a professional tune would be. Is Cobb's OTS tune best used with Cobb's high flow catted downpipe? Most likely, Yes. However, as XJ stated cobb's map notes say their tunes can be used with any 3" catted downpipe. So my paranoia that all catted downpipes are not created equal is just paranoia.
BUT, what about different CEL cats? Could a 200 CEL cat versus a 400 CEL cat lean out a vehicle due to flow? Or is it still such a negligible amount that the "one map fits all catted DP"?
