You may need a spudger tool to get it out. I'll be honest I haven't attempted because I enjoy my window defroster.

Ah, fancy. Can you see the vent behind the dash from either the footwell, behind the cluster? It's probably heavily clipped in

Good to know. They make interior trim spudger tools, I recommend picking some up they are cheap and won't risk scratching stuff when you go to do stuff like that.
