Does anyone know if the driver side defrost vent just pops out or if it's screwed in at all? I'm trying to install one of these:

You may need a spudger tool to get it out. I'll be honest I haven't attempted because I enjoy my window defroster.

The vent should still be fully functional it just has a pod attached to it.

Ah, fancy. Can you see the vent behind the dash from either the footwell, behind the cluster? It's probably heavily clipped in

So I pulled a bunch of stuff off to confirm that it does just pop out lol. I used a screw driver wedged into the vent and just lifted straight up and it popped out pretty easily. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to break anything though.

Good to know. They make interior trim spudger tools, I recommend picking some up they are cheap and won't risk scratching stuff when you go to do stuff like that.

Amazon has a nice 12 or 13 piece set for like $20. Black pouch, red tools. For the year and a half i have had it and the 3 times ive uesd them it was worth it.
