Getting ready to install my Defi link gauges this week and I'am really tempted to mount that control unit where the cup holder is now. I was wondering if anybody here has tried it, or succssessfully mounted it in the cup holder location w/o any problems.

Thx,
Justin

I don't think I have ever seen someone mount it there, not to say that it will not work.

I mounted mine in the glove box because I rarely use it.

Another reason I mounted it in the glove box.

i took the ash tray out and just put a piece of the dubble sided sticky stuff on it and jammed it in there, looks good and hasn't moved since i put it in there 6 months or more ago.

Thats a good Idea but I already have my hardwired Passport 8500's mute switch mounted down there.....

Yes, good point but I have a very nice alarm with a prox, piezo and battery back-up so thats not really an issue w/me;)

As long as the pic is under 300K you can just attach it.

 Damn Tetz, thats clean as hell.... You must give a tutorial on how you did it if you did that yourself:) . What kind of snags did you run into, how much cutting did you have to do and how is it supported in there??? Your time will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks,
Justin

i got help from my friend who works at car stereo shop.
we didn't have too much of problems at all. but if i was doing it by myself, i'm sure it would have been a disaster...:D
instead, i did everything he told me to do. and we are done installing all 4 gauges, turbo timer, Tein EDFC in just a half day.:)

Sorry boosted I have been busy with finals at my school and forgot about this thread. Do you still need the dimensions? I can get them this weekend hopefully, the unit is at my fathers house right now.
