Hey, It's been a little over a year now since I bought my WRX. I wash my baby about once a week and Wax it about every month and a half. But I've never touched the motor. I've never de-greased a turbo motor befor. Do I just clean it like every other motor? Sorry if this is a dumb question but it's better to be safe than sorry

Yeah should be OK, as long as you don't get any of the electrical connections wet. Instead of using Engine Degreaser, try using some Oven Cleaner, it works better than most automotive products for degreasing!

Hey. I know first hand the power of oven cleaner (and it's wonderful effects on the human respiratory system).

1) I was just wondering if it was damaging to plastics and other non-metallic items in the engine compartment.

2) Have you used oven cleaner on your own car and does everything seem to be holding up?
