you cant really do anything if you are not a hacker yourself. My norton firewall blocks a few everynight, it also show their ip, address and stuff. You can report them to their internet provider and hoping they will do something about ut. but if you do google search, you will find there are millions of reports send that post on the web. So you decide is it worth the time to report them

The problem there is that if you are dealing with an "133t hacker" then they would be smart and cover their tracks and use another person's or company's ip address. but for the most part it's some dumb kid trying to be another Crash Override/Zero cool after watching Hackers.

No one is dealing with a few hackers a night. That is just automated stuff from where you are going online, it is nothing harmful 90% of the time.
There is tons of chatty computers on the Internet and you will see alot of it if you have a firewall like zone alarm. Its one thing to see that, its another to be constantly port scanned or have someone constantly trying to break in.

Report the IP to the ISP. It doens't matter if thats the person doing it or the PC is just a zombie working for someone else. The ISP will most likely do something about it.
