For several months my car has been making a minor creaking noise whenever I turn the steering wheel. The noise sounds as if it is coming from the steering box or underneath the front end of the car's suspension somewhere. The noise is not related to up and down suspension travel.

Well, today going to work, my car started making a more moderate scraping sounding noise when the steering wheels were turned. Sounded as if it was coming from the front right wheel. I did not continue driving the car and turned around, came home, and switched cars.

Any ideas what the noise could be caused by? My suspension is stock and has never been wrecked.

If it makes the noise all the time I would deffinetly have the dealer look at it, don't want anything bad to happen when driving. It sounds to me like something might be loose, but I don't really know.
