I'm looking at getting an STI, but before I buy the car I want to get a compression test done to verify everything is ok with the engine.

What are the compression numbers for factor specs

Please post for 2004-2007 STI models if possible
I'm looking at a 2004, 2005, and 2006 models.

Thanks

Going off memory at 12:11 am I think somewhere around 135-140 is the min. they like to see.

I wouldnt be worried with the exact number of each cylinder but rather the difference between them. Pay attention to cylinder number 4 in particular.

Of course if all for have 55 something is wrong.

Thats I'll check them out, normally compression should be between 1-2 difference. Thanks for heads up on the 4th cylinder, because I'm not familiar with the boxer style engine, but most engines have a "prone to fail first" cylinder.

Thanks
