I've been considering suspension mods for my 2017 wrx. I intentionally avoiding springs to spare my stock struts and airbags are not for me. I've had coilovers on my 02 RSX and they were stiff as hell (Function and Form Type 1).

What coilovers is everyone running or does everyone recommend? Ideally one with stiffness adjustment and one where I can retain the majority of the cars stock handling.

I looked into Tein Flex A with the hydraulic bump stop but have been hearing bad reviews about the bump stop system failing.

Would love your guys opinions on what is the best bang for your buck with coilovers. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the input guys.

So what I understand is the coilovers are a nice option but are not highly recommended for daily driving for the most part which is understandable.

I was considering springs at one point but was concerned about wearing out the stock struts so I'll look into aftermarket struts.

On a side note if I did do springs on stock struts how much risk will there be that I blow the stock struts? Does it depend on how much of a drop I get?
