There are zero options in the $1k range regardless of brand. At about 1400 you have feal 441. They are at minimum acceptable but far from great. I would own them after some recommendations. Then you have the likes of the kw variant 3. This suspension and other comparable ones will cost you thousands however will actually greatly improved your vehicles handling for the track or the road. The caveat with it is you need to find a shop who knows that suspension and your car to set it up for your use. Then leave it.
Coilovers for a daily driver are almost always a poor decision. The ones worth buying cost a fortune, they will need rebuilt far more often than your stock suspension at a not so cheap premium, and setting them up is a pain. It's not uncommon for the jamnuts to come loose, or to damage the threads on the body.
