I'm running the Cobb Stage 2 OTS 93 Octane Map and people with similar mods keep track of their MPGs??
Cobb DP, Cobb TBE, Cobb Main Pulley, COBB SFI.

Driving like the teen STi driver highway/city I average 15.3 MPG.
I don't gun it at every light or anything, but I shift around 3-4 K and average 80 on the highway.

Trying my best to keep her revving between 1.8K to 2.8K RPM, I pullout a 17.8 MPG city/highway.

Anyone have similar numbers/inputs/advice?
Does this sound right?

Open-source StageI tune, Silencer delete + K&N panel filter

Shift @ 3500-4000

I keep the RPMs as close to 2K as possible - 4th gear @ 30, 5th gear @ 40, 6th gear @ 50

I drive 60 (55 limit) or 70 (65 limit) on the highway

I average ~20mpg

Do what Rick (Rogan) does: open source tuning w/ RomRaider.

Rogan is pushing over 400+ whp, but he averages ~30mpg mixed highway and city driving. :whoa:

I honestly think it has more do to with your right foot that your hardware.
Eh, I think it's both. Most people, however, don't really have the knowledge to do open source. When Rogan tried explaining RomRaider to me one night, i just nodded my head and kept saying "Yea." :screwy:

I agree 100%.

I'm also running a Cobb TBE with OTS map and I get 17-18 mpg in mixed driving. When I'm doing mostly highway driving, I get about 25 mpg. That's driving fairly aggressively (i.e. flooring it pretty regularly on entrance ramps, driving hard for maybe 30-50 miles each tank, and using cruise control maybe 1/3 of the time on the highway at about 75 mph.

When I was stock (CBE only) I only got about 18 on all-city tanks. Frequent short trips are my MO.

Really? Since when? Have you read any of those threads you link newbs too? ;) I mean, if you were gonna go with a short ram (which I, myself have contemplated many times) why not at least go with one of the known safe ones?

since december of 07. anddddd as per nasioc gods, the turboxs is one of the only intakes that do not mess with your air fuel ratio, along with cobb, spt, etc.

How does shifting that high help you keep your RPMs close to 3500/4000? Unless you mean only in acceleration. In that case, moving your shift points down to 2500 and accelerating slower would help your mileage a lot.

I just flashed to COBB stg 2 91 ACN. I haven't even been through a full tank yet, but I do keep track of my mileage. I'll let you know and we can compare notes ;)
As I am a man of my word, here is my MPG log since I went to stg 2:

Code:
Date	Gal	Mi	MPG
8/3	14.3	358.8	25.1
8/18	6.865	186.4	27.2
8/28	11.178	293.6	26.3
8/31	12.629	331.3	26.2
9/19	14.288	366.5	25.7
9/20	7.857	228.6	29.1
9/27	10.281	272.8	26.5
[B]Total	77.398	2038	26.3[/B]
*there are 2 trips from tahoe to the bay area in there, so that's a lot of highway miles.
