as topic states i get this smell when shifting not hard on the car at all since clutch has only been250 miles get it after starting off in 1st gear any ideas? I also notice that the clutch cstcues much higher than the old one but i figure thats to be expected . Clutch is clutchnet stage 2 on a brand new rebuilt tranny. Any thoughts?

You have to break in the clutch disk basically. You'll get the burnt clutch smell till its broken in. Usually its 500mi. Just don't shift fast/hard.
