i want to eventually rally my 2012 wrx hatch and clutch recently burnt up. since i have to replace the clutch anyway i prefer to have a clutch that can accommodate the added horse power but im not sure what brand or kit would be best

Nobody can answer unless we know what kind of power you make. Act heavy duty is popular, exedy makes a great clutch as well. On other vehicles south bend has been hugely popular.

its stock now but i plan to push maybe 400 or so by next year

400 whp is a big investment. The clutch is the least of your worries.

Are driveline components free in your class? If not then you'll have to install what's allowed.

My 2012 WRX clutch went at 44k. I bought it at 43k... It was a a sad day.

Anyway, I bought a Excedy Stage 1 clutch and a ACT streetlite lightweight flywheel. I love it, I only bought a stage 1 so it could handle some more power(320HP at the wheels) Which is more than I need at my Stage2+ status.
