I've read people talking about the nasty smell of a clutch burning. I've never smelled it because I baby my car. And I'm surprised I haven't smelled it yet since this is my first manual transmission vehicle.

Well, I smelled it today, and it is nasty. Well, it isn't really that bad. I think I was scared after smelling it more than anything. I was parallel parking at work. The parallel spots have a small incline/curb to them. I was parking between two cars and stalled it trying to get the front wheels up the incline. So I restarted and revved it a little to high while riding the clutch. The car filled up with the smell. So I'm worried now. How much damage did I cause?

The stock WRX clutch is pretty sturdy. Don't worry at all. I think you probably took about 5 miles of life off of the clutch. :D

It's like you smoked one cigarette. How much did that affect your lifespan? :D
