I don't know if the OEM hangers would have been any different since I didn't try them. I wish I could get them a little higher up. And maybe I could with the smaller holes in the hanger, I don't know. But here's how they turned out.

This may be an unpopular answer, but it comes from experience and having been exactly where you are.
lol told you. Thanks for the information everyone!
I've decided to go for a CBE. I might was well for the extra 300 bucks instead of spending 600 on a Nameless 4inch.
I'm ordering the Invidia r400 CBE!!
(I'm buying the 2.5" dp to 3" conversion and probably new hangars as well)
...well done. Congratulations. I believe you will be pleased in the long run that you purchased a cat back versus just the axle back. Time will tell.Knowing the build quality of the Subaru factory mid-y pipe being what it is... not entirely bad, but not really great either (restricted, rust & corrosion prone)......and... if you like generally quiet while in most situations save for rapid acceleration and at WOT then IMHO you've chosen very wisely. ...when you finally decide I hope it works for you & that you don't end up on the "slippery slope" of additional (replacement) purchases.Just kidding, I might consider the dual exit N1 as well....
I have had an N1 on my 16 STI for a little over a year and I absolutely love it. My lady does not, but who cares! Aesthetically speaking, I prefer the look r400, but the note of the N1 was the overall deciding factor.Just kidding, I might consider the dual exit N1 as well....
