Ceramic Brake Pads on stock 2004 STI rotors?

So i just got Brembo ceramic brakes pads for my 2004 STI and my dad didnt know if they would work with the stock rotors that came on the car. I bought the car a year ago but ive been in training for the military so i have only put maybe 2000 miles on the car and havent had much time to look into the info about it. I tried to find out if the thing came stock with ceramic pads but i couldnt find any info. ANY help at all is much appreciated!

Are you confusing rotors with calipers?

Are you asking about using ceramic rotors with stock calipers? To my knowledge, there are no commercially available ceramic calipers (nor would I use them if they existed).

Are you sure it's not "Centric rotors?"

If you are referring to ceramic pads you should be fine. Some ceramic pads are hard as a wedding prick and will eat the rotors, but the higher quality pads should wear fine with factory rotors. You may collect a little more heat in the rotor however it shouldn't be an issue the majority of the time. Just avoid the auto parts store special lifetime unlimited mile warranty pads.
