Just wondering if I needed a tune if I got a catted downpipe because I’ve heard that in order to run a catless downpipe I need a tune but was wondering if it is same for catted ( I know tune helps get the power out of downpipe)

catted and non catted needs a tune. the only difference is that catted is safer than catless ( boost creep ) unless you get EWG for it. correct me if im wrong please im also learning but thats what im getting so far

That was the case for the EJ255 and EJ257 due to the undersized IWG port. I'm not certain it's the case with the FA20....

The "downpipe" or "J-pipe" on the FA20 is a far better design than the previous EJ downpipes. There will be fewer gains by replacing the pipe on the FA20 anyway.
