Sigh well that sucks, I figured with the VF39 the car won't even make 300 horse at the wheels so I could get away with it... guess not :unhappy:

There are a lot of people running a vf34 or vf39 with stock tranny, just dont drive like a donkey and itll live for a while.

If I get a protuned VF39 or VF 43 on mine it will definitley be pushing the envelope with the 2.5L. You ought to be ok with the 2.0l.

FYI:
Depending on tune

A VF34-39 on a 2.0l puts down around

240-280 WHP and 250-290whtq

I drive my cars pretty gently most of the time. When I upgraded the clutch, I was now subjecting my 5-speed to greater torque loads since where it used to slip and mask it, the new clutch grips and doesn't. I started launching, and eventually my trans went boom!

If you can avoid launching, I think you would be fine. Rev matching is key.
