I purchased a used 2016 Subaru WRX with the CVT transmission a few months ago with just under 16k miles. I've noticed more and more frequently that when I drive uphill I get a scent of burning rubber inside the car, as well as in the engine bay. Occasionally it will happen when I pull on flat ground also. Not sure what this could be coming from. I checked the engine bay, all the belts seem to be in their correct spots, don't see any fraying or tears, nothing appears to be melting. After driving uphill, and heading onto a straight away the scent goes away. I've done multiple searches and haven't found much on what this could be. Any thoughts?!
