Never intended to buy it, but went for a test drive anyway. Fell in love with the way it handles and the speeeed. I wish it was a stick shift though but auto is good for Boston traffic. So, its a 2005 WRX wagon with 45K miles on it. Tires are new but the brakes are almost gone. It has 2 years left on an extended warranty. That's the good. The bad: The doors are dented and its about a $400-$600 (estimated) fix. $8800. You guys think its a good deal? And the insurance costs an arm and a leg.

Welcome :)! Sounds like a pretty good price. Very low mileage for the year and if the warranty is any good as far as coverage, sounds like a solid buy

Thanks! She removed the ad. So, what is the first mod do you guys recommend?
After you've made sure the car is up to date on general maintainence, it depends on what route you want to go. If you want a little more power, a Stage one tune is a good start. If you're looking for handling, upgrade the sway bars and links or maybe a set of stiffer springs and struts. What I would do is upgrade the bushings and mounts and get a short throw shifter. The car is pushing 7 years old and those rubber bushings are probably ready to be replaced
