I recently upgraded the brakes on my 2013 WRX to the 4-pot/2-pot kit with Stoptech slotted rotors. When I washed the car for the first time after the install I saw that the rotors were covered in rust as they dried, as most rotors do ... but it seemed like a lot of it.

After putting some miles on it and checking to see if the rust had been cleaned off, I'm seeing a rust ring that's not being hit by the brake pad and there's a little in the slots as well.

Is this normal? I've never upgraded rotors on a car before and I guess I expected that the rotors wouldn't have rust on them all the time.

Thanks
