Sorry if im being redundant (since i believe this was addressed in an earlier post(s))

but.. the break in period for the WRX is ~1000 miles? What kind of rpms should I stay below?

Im about to pick up mine in a few days :D

Try to stay below 4000... the reason why I said "try" is because I wasn't able to keep it below 4000 the entire time. ;)

personally, i dont think it matters to much once you get past 200 miles. The car just has to get used to the way you drive and it takes ecu a lot less than 1000 miles to do that.

I understand your troubles. I promised myself that I would keep it under 3,500rpms for 1,000 miles. HA. That didn't even last a mile. But I generally keep it under 4,000k unless my foot slips :).
