My front left bleeder valve seeps; noticed it when I was replacing fluid recently and confirmed today. It's likely been doing this a while. Seems my options are -

1. Replace valve.
2. Teflon threads on valve? Never done this.
3. Replace valve and caliper if all else fails.

It's the all else on which I'd appreciate advice. Never run into this before. New valve from dealer? Taping good or bad idea? I can't determine if the leak is from the nipple or threads or both, it's a minor leak of new nearly colorless fluid.

Ideas?

buy a new bleeder. pickup at any parts store. don't use teflon and shouldn't need new caliper because of this.

Aha, great thanks. I tried giving it another 1/16th turn and no luck. Will replace, no tape.

Maybe try speed bleeders?

Thought of that too. Struck out at O'Reiiley's (incidentally, I think that's the name of the dodgy contractor Basil Fawlty used to fix the hotel) so tomorrow's another day. Thanks all.
