Hey guys and gals, I just bought my first real mod for my ‘15 WRX, a Blox Racing axle back I bought from Import Image Racing (IIR). When it came to deciding what to get, Initially I was looking at the Remark/Greddy axle back, but it has been backordered for months. A week or so ago I saw IIR posted they have multiple sets of Blox Racing axle back exhausts in stock. Living local, I was debating the purchase. After having them installed I’m happy i bought it. When doing research on the exhaust, I only found one sound-clip of the exhaust and it was from Blox themselves. Me always wanting to get into writing decided to give this a true review, let me know what you guys think:

I woke up early on saturday morning, and decided to install the exhaust and since there was very little information on this brand’s muffler delete I decided to do a review of it. The unboxing was straight forward and the muffler deletes were properly wrapped in bubble wrap. The exhaust tips are single walled and are were wrapped in shrink wrap for shipping. Initially I thought the tips were scratched, then realized they were wrapped. Haha

Removing the factory exhaust is pretty self-explanatory, four 9/16 bolts and nuts were removed and then I had to slide the hangers off the rubber mounts. There are two mounts on each side, one of which is hidden (at least it was to me) and is located near the rear wheel fender area/space under the rear quarter panels.

Installing the muffler deletes was simple, just a reverse of un-installing the factory mufflers. The deletes are noticeably lighter than the OEM mufflers and due to them not having a muffler were easy to plug-and-play, just remember to install the included gaskets.

After the exhaust was installed I turned on my WRX. My initial impressions, the cold start is loud with a deep rumble and tone, approximately 102 decibels according to Decibel X (iPhone app). After the car warms up and the RPMs settle down, the muffler deletes become quieter (65-70 dbs). Driving with the deletes, the exhaust is noticeably louder, but that’s the point of the muffler deletes isn’t it?

During the trips to the store and then taking my toddler son to the park, I drove the car various speeds, all under 65 MPH and the car was louder, but did not have the resonating buzz at a constant RPM.

The other, thing that this exhaust does is it burbles, rev it up to 3K RPMs and let off, both in neutral and while driving, You’ll get a satisfy pop or two. Overall I am very happy with the purchase seeing as I paid just over $250 for them.

I’ll add a review in a few weeks after the deletes have some more milage on them and see if there is any changes in tone or decibel after they have been broken in.

Below are hyper links to the images, for some reason I keep getting an error code when I try and upload them or attache their html???
