Hello everyone! I just picked up a 2004 wrx with a hybrid build and the previous owner had built the motor with a sti short block and he also added a forester xs transmission with 4.11 diffs. Was curious if there's any benefits or major disadvantages besides getting to speed quicker and the top speed went down so highway driving I'm running higher rpms due to shorter gears.
The number on the tranny is TY755VB5BA-JK and when I look it up it says it's a jdm forester xs transmission but that's as much as I can find.
It does have a act heavy duty clutch and light weigh fly wheel so it's got a really delicate gas petal which is taking some getting used to along with the shorter gears.
