I just bought a set of the B4 BBS 17x7 et55 thinking they will fit straight on my 05 wrx cus the stock wheels I already had on were the exact same dimensions but they hit the brakes (stock brakes). Is it possible to get them to fit with just a spacer or not?

Your stock wheels hit your stock brakes?

No sorry I worded it wrong, the stock wheels I already had on fit fine nothing wrong with them, it?s the new wheels that are the b4 bbs wheels that hit the brakes. I thought they would fit because they are the same size, width and offset as the stock wheels. I?m just wondering if I put a 5-8mm spacer on will that work or not..

You do you. I wouldn't put spacers on my car.

Well I don?t really want to put spacers on, but I?ve been reading up about it and I might be able to use a 3mm spacer just to push it out that little bit so the rim clears the brake and still have enough thread on the lug to get a nut on and enough room for the rim to still sit on the hub.
But I want to know if anyone else has done this without any problems or not. Other wise I?ll just have to get rid of the rims.
There are countless thousands of people who do it. There are also thousands of people who have had a failure. A person who uses spacers will defend them until they die. Everyone is awesome with how safe their spacers are until they fail, or they see another person's fail.

If you use a good Google search you can come up with a lot on this topic across different forums for nearly every existing brand. I would choose that route instead of waiting for fanboys to find your thread and tell you how awesome they are.

id sooner try and grind 3mm off of the caliper than put a spacer on. but i have no idea what im doing, just a random thought.

Yeah I know, I personally have never tried using them and I don?t really want to start now. I just really wanted to use these rims but I might just have to bite the bullet and sell them and look for something else. Thanks for the advice tho.
