ok so i scored a set of stock 03 wrx rims with r compound tires the 225 50 16's are damn near perfect. the 205 55 16 are in ok condition.

I measured the diameters of both tires and they are just a hair over a 1/4 inch difference.

Will it be ok to run these at the track only? i'm rolling a 03 wrx stage 2.

Now the real kicker is they don't make these tires anymore so i can just go grab another set of 225's

potenza r71r.

Thanks for the input in advance.

funny there is a 1/4" difference- most tire height charts show them much closer, the one I use for reference shows 205/55/16 @ 24.88, the 225/50/16 @ 24.86- a .02" difference- not enough to cause any problems w/ the diff, 0.25" however could :(

nothing wrong w/ running two different compounds though if it comes to that (w/ the caveat that the heights match up)- I know a few folks that would run Hoosier A6's in the front and R6's in the rear- dialed out a little understeer
