Just a quick question to the guys that have an Automatic WRX.

Is it a tiptronic automatic or standard 4 speed automatic? Reason I ask, in Japan, they have tiptronic while here in Australia, when the new shaped Impreza WRX came out (MY01), we didn't get an automatic option at all in Australia. The MY02 saw the automatic, but it was just the standard automatic.

We get so ripped off compared to the JDM cars.

Our WRX has got 160 KW vs 185 KW JDM, and I think there is quite a few other technical differences too.

We got regular auto. (well, I didn't but it's available) And right in the middle on power - 170KW. (Note for the Yanks - that's aprox. 214hp for Oz, 227hp US and a whopping 248hp for the Land of the Rising Sun). I think the difference is just down to emisions equipment. Tha Japanese basically don't care what they do to the environment.
