Anyway turn fan on without turning on AC?

Ah, there was a thread about this a few weeks ago. I don't think a solution has been found.

Have you tried setting the temperature a little higher than cold? Not hot, but like a 1/4 turn? The system may default to whatever it needs to meet the temperature set by the dial

I'll give that a shot and provide an update.

I just figured it out ------ push the 'Auto' and the 'A/C' buttons at the same time. Fan comes on in the auto mode so it will start to climb to the highest speed, but the A/C does not come on. :woocow:

I'll try this.
What I have been doing in our '14 Forester is to (with system off) turn the mode knob to the chest vent position. Fresh air comes thru without any other 'services'.
