I like the perrin one and the K&N one, but after reading a couple threads, it looks like the stock one may be the best one, just a regular paper filter. Does everyone agree with this or are any of the panel filters worth it?

since your car is bone stock right now, you should save your money for other mods that will actually help your performance. you won't be able to feel the difference after you replace the drop in filter. stick with your stock air box for now until you are at least at stage 2. get upipe, turboback, mbc, and you should be at stage 2.

I changed my filter from the stocker to a K&N just because I liked being able to clean the filter at will.
yeah i plan on doing the same. my car has only 3k on it so i buy a K&N when it needs to replaced next year.

Do your research on drop-in filters. Most people tend to stay away from them due to the oil fouling the ultra-sensitive MAF.

If you do decide to go with a drop-in, make sure *not* to over oil.
