I'm currently waiting on a set of 18.8.5 Rota Grids in Hyper Black to arrive. I heard from someone that Rota wheels in Hyper Black tend to chip and peel.

Can anyone how owns/has owned Rotas in Hyper Black please confirm or deny this?

I certainly don't want to invest upwards of $1000 on a set of wheels that won't keep its finish.

when the color first came out rota made a couple bad batches which led to peeling and chipping like crazy. that was about a year and a half ago. the issue has been taken care of since then. i got one of those wheel sets from the bad batch during that time. starting peeling in about a week
