Hey guys are you running your Stage1-2 on the 91oct. Map while using 93oct.?

I have noticed some are...:confused:

What are the benifits?

higher octane gas basically keeps the air/fuel explosions from going off at the wrong times (knock).

With a higher octane, you can be more aggressive with the amount of fuel you put in. You can put in less. This creates more power.

With a higher octane gas you can also change the timing of the explosions. (Turning up timing) This will also make more power.


Any sort of engine management, like the AP, changes the values the car uses. The 93 octane map will be more agressive in A/F ratio and timing. The 91 map will be less agressive.

Some people run the 91 map with 93 octane because they still get knock even with the higher octane gas and since you cant really adjust the map, there isnt another option.
