Try stepping down by 3000K. The chart is very misleading. On the road, 4300K looks white, 5000K is a retina searing white with a light blue tint. 6000k onwards looks blue and 8000K up looks like disco blue lights.hmmm... I guess charts vary with accuracy do to many variables. I thought the tint of blue looked really complementary with a Solar Orange WRXBut if it's going to flag the car as some 'eBay special'...lol Then I guess I'll have to step down a couple thousand kelvins.

No. From someone frequently in the backwater no.It would suck driving on county backroads at night with dim headlights.
Unless those roads are straight as an arrow what advantage do you have at long throw headlights?I drive them every night and use brights when no vehicles are coming. Way too many deer, raccoons, possums, etc on these Bama roads.
Several factors can reduce or alter headlight illumination. I agree with u that headlights are often misaligned. Even the weight distribution in the car can change headlamp aim =)It would suck driving on county backroads at night with dim headlights.
I think the real problem is when people change/upgrade their lights they rarely correct the headlights so they have the correct cutoff point or they use LEDs on housing meant for halogens.
Integrate a variable color temperature and intensity dial into the circuitryTry stepping down by 3000K. The chart is very misleading. On the road, 4300K looks white, 5000K is a retina searing white with a light blue tint. 6000k onwards looks blue and 8000K up looks like disco blue lights.
True, that's partly why high output lights are banned in most countries unless accompanied by a leveler.Several factors can reduce or alter headlight illumination. I agree with u that headlights are often misaligned. Even the weight distribution in the car can change headlamp aim =)
Lol, this is a fantastic one. The jokes almost write themselves.Integrate a variable color temperature and intensity dial into the circuitryfrom mellow yellow to gender-bender blue. That was my point silver_scoob. Charts are misleading do to a wide array of variables. I agree about those road warrior trucks that look like they partook in the Mad Max Series.
eBay blue for you just to make your daySome photoshopped extreme volumetric lighting (shine plugin) going on there lol!
You can just hear (Lou Rawls) being played over the radio: "you'll never find..."along with a vanity plate that says LUMENS.
