2018 STI sport winter tire and rim sizing

I am looking to get a new set of tires and rims for the winter season. The 2018 model comes stock with 19's.

Has anyone placed 18" wheels or do you know if they will fit the 2018 model?

Any help is appreciated.

I would assume (keyword) that the 18x8.5 wheels would be fine since the WRX and 2017 STI uses them.
I can't recall the stock offset...want to say 55.
I use 245/40/18 for winter tires on my stock 18x8.5 wheels. ('16 WRX)

2018 STI brakes are much different from previous generations.

Good to know. I didn’t realize they changed the brakes.

Thanks everyone. I have confirmed from the dealership that 18's will fit and just have to be carful with the rim size.

Ended up getting a good deal from the dealership and purchased a set from them.
Post pics lol.

I will once I have the vehicle and wheels installed. Currently being produced/delivered and will receive in about a month or so
I have a 2018 sti, going to stay with the 19’s and put high performance all seasons, I wish the brakes were black but that’s besides the point, I drove a 86 Monte Carlo ss in high school and never had winter tires in the northeast, just used to put a bunch of 45 pound plates in the trunk
