Just got a 15 wrx 60k. Cobb ,invidia exhaust.
Car hit 7.7lbs boost peak. No crazy noises.
Anyone have a DIY parts list for boost leak tester, or tag the link please.

Also a good subie shop around Phoenix Arizona.

Thanks in advanced.

Stopped by FAT performance and just from the numbers and test drive, suggested by compressor has been damaged.

Atmospheric pressure at high rpm without going rich. No bucking or anything

Car drives fine and averaging 25mpg lol

Anyone else agree?

That seems highly unlikely.

No CEL or anything? 8 PSI is wastegate pressure and may be an issue with your boost control system.

Check the vac lines leading to your boost controller. Also, datalog a pull with TD Boost Error parameter.

No cel.

Dealership said do a pull 40mph in 4th to 70mph. I hit about 4lbs and quickly lost it.

I will try to get under the car today

Hold on -- Stop.

Did you find the source of the FOD?

I'm very concerned this made it's way further into the engine.

No source, after market intake. Most likely a bolt. Dude has probably been driving it like this for over a year not wanting to look into the no boost situation.

You should perform a leakdown test to be safe. I can't believe it was sold to you in that condition -- that's very shady. Previous owner obviously knew this was a problem... the bolt or nut HAD to go somewhere. It was likely removed.

You should replace the entire turbocharger. It's trashed.

Forgive my previous conclusion. 99% of the time someone says "my car won't hit target boost" it's not the compressor wheel. You are a very rare exception.

Previous owner was spending money on coilovers and interior led light kits...lol
Thank God I'm only in it for 10k.

Thanks for all of your help.

Yep... and that's the stereotypical WRX owner for you...
