My 2011 isn't taken the best care of and is not doing that. Something isn't right.

I have a 2012, same color, and don't have that. It's interesting on the hood scoop that it really is confined to that part. What do you wash your car with?I joined to see if any fellow WRX owners have had problems with their paint work. I bought my 2014 WRX and after 3 years I am getting extreme paint fade in two areas (so far). The hood scoop and the spoiler are the affected areas (see attached photos).:unhappy:
Does anyone else have the same problem? I took it to the dealer and of course its not covered under warranty and will cost me $500. I have a 2010 Honda that is rarely washed and yet its paint work is stunning compared to my WRX. View attachment 299969 View attachment 299977
My thoughts exactly. My 2011 isn't taken the best care of and is not doing that. Something isn't right.

It varies. Sometimes I do it myself and use your standard auto-shop car soap; other times I take it to the local touch-free carwash. Nothing out of the ordinary.I have a 2012, same color, and don't have that. It's interesting on the hood scoop that it really is confined to that part. What do you wash your car with?

Nope I have not.Have you used a buffer on it?

This is what I'm thinking.Aren't the hood scoop and spoiler both plastic??
It is almost as if someone painted (or re-painted) the car and did not use the correct paint formula for plastic on those parts.......
