Hey guys, I'm currently about to finish up my engine build and was hoping to get some insight on issues I have ran into. I'm currently doing a built bottom end with upgraded turbo, intercooler, injectors/pump. Before number #4 failed I was running a basic Cobb stage 2 map. After doing this build I understand that stage 2 map will no longer work, so I've got a pro tune booked. My problem is, once the new engine goes back into the car, I would like to make sure everything idles smooth and no leaks appear after a rebuild, and even put a few miles on it. How can I accomplish this before my actual protune date?

Have your tuner send you a base map

That map may be limited to wastegate pressure and have retarded timing advance / rich AFRs, but it'd be enough to get your vehicle running and into the initial break-in; unless they prefer to have the vehicle broken-in on the dyno.

Either way, talk to the person calibrating your vehicle.
