Okay so this is my first post on here so please have mercy if I make a mistake. lol

Ok so I recently purchased a 2004 WRX. The car shows roughly 200,000 miles on it or 326,000 kilometers to be exact. ( im Canadian ) Now the car runs good and everything is in working order and doesn't give me any red flags. Normally I wouldn't take a risk on a car with this kind of mileage but I only paid 1000$ CAD so it was a no brainer. My question is, is there anyone out there who is running on this kind of mileage and what should i expect?

There are a few minor repairs needed but nothing major. Suspension Linkage, Oil pan and front brakes.. No big deal as I work at a dealership and will do most of the work myself anyway.

Also is there any preventative maintenence that I should be doing for a car with this kind of mileage?

Is there a way to check if the engine was swapped? I didn't receive any info from the previous owner..

I would change the timing belt, plugs, coil packs, check any and all suspension components for excessive wear, flush the coolant and replace, change all fluids.

Follow the owner's manual maintenance schedule to the letter, preferring authentic Subaru parts.

You should expect reliable transportation indefinitely provided this has been done until now, and it will continue to be done in your hands.

If the manual is followed and the car fails, I'd never by another Subaru again.

rust. seriously, my last 2 cars rusted away before the drivetrain quit.
