Hello Everyone,

I know this isn't technically an WRX/STi related topic but I'm planning on converting my Forester XT to a STi spec Forester..

** 5 speed manual **

However, on edmundscom it says there isn't a rear LSD?!
2004 Subaru Forester standard equipment at Edmunds Subaru Forester standard equipment at Edmunds

a center one but not a rear....

but then on the Subaru Research site (lil more than half way down):

2004 Subaru Forester price/invoice, options, colors. Internet sales.
it says: rear axle limited slip differential (not avail on X)

they are saying this about the XS model... the XT is the next model up and is supposed to have everything the prev. model down has... then up some for being the XT model?

Can someone clarify this for me? Does a 2004 Subaru Forester XT 5M model have a rear LSD?

Thanks! :sadwave:

Yes, the rear end of the 2004-2007 FXT has a viscous LSD mechanism.
