Hi all,

I've got an '18 WRX 6MT with 16,000 miles on the clock. Bone stock.

I can't lie, I've done my fair share of aggressive driving and a few launches here and there.

But recently there's this clunking/popping noise that feels like it's coming from under my feet/the firewall. It only ever happens in 1st gear under a medium/hard pull. My quick-thinking tells me it's the pitch stop mount, but I've dug around and people who have had snapped pitch stop brackets had different effects that didn't line up to what I was experiencing.

I found this video by "Lou's WRX" who had the same noise only in 1st gear. The difference is, the dealer replaced his TOB and forgot to torque a trans mount correctly. While my car has never been touched since it's been assembled.

Does anyone have an idea what it could be?
