Who makes the 16g Turbo?

Is it a Ball Bearing Turbo?

Best place to purchase the 16g?

Whats is the 16g Turbo rated at? I was told the VF34 was rated at 300+, what about the the 16g?

Many different manufacturers make the 16G. Generally they use MHI(Mitsubishi) Parts w/ a custom exhaust housing for the Subaru's.

No. Journal bearing. Ball bearing turbos are overrated & overpriced.

Blouch, Forced Peformance, Deadbolt, turbochargers.com

The VF34 can barely get 300whp on a average reading dyno with all supporting mods, I would rate the 16G nearly the same.

I would assume for my first upgrade without the Tranny upgrade I would want to go with the Subaru MHI Turbo 16g Upgrade 7cm2 340HP correct?

Not necessarily, it depends on how you drive. I run a TD05H-20G(rated ~440chp) on a completely stock 5spd tranny, putting down +370whp/355wtq.

Interesting... The 16gs are all the price range I'd like to be at. All three of those 16gs just plug and play where the stock turbo sits right? No custom Fabrication needed I would assume.
