I'd be concerned with the pickup itself rather than the pump.
much much easier to swap while it's out, though.thatll be upgraded before I actually start getting up to 450. that doesn't require me to drop the engine tho. but that will be upgraded, your right.
Realistically you need the pickup more than you need a different pump. The pump is piece of mind, but those pickup tubes fail a lot more than cars running out of lubrication from the pump... as SD Already stated.true. but money, where its at right now, is better spent on an oil pump rather than a pick up. I can replace the pick up/ pan in 3 hours a few months from now. either way, 11mm or 12mm? haha
