So my 2009 wrx ej255 spun a bearing. And I'm considering sti swap. Mainly for the 207 version 7 or 8. Because there is a shop in my town that sells alot of there with about 45k miles. 4k$ CDN comes with the engine long block, 6speed trans, rear diff, axles, ECU , turbo, intercooler and all that stuff attached to the engine. Ready fully to just be dropped in. Obviously not specifically for my body.
I'm wondering if it can be done. And what else might possibly need to be modded to fit it in?
Or should I just get a long block ej255 again or switch to the 257.
Considering also getting a built short block for the 255 with forged components and using my heads and all if they didn't get damaged.
Budgets around 6k $ wondering whoch swaps or builds would be the best and or easyest and the pricing on such builds/swaps. Generaly I want a block that can hold about 370-400whp. So down the line I don't have to put in block work again
