So, my 2008 WRX will start to overheat after about 15 miles of highway driving, if i put the heater on full blast it will make it about 25 miles before the temperature starts to climb. The kicker is, sometimes it won't stop overheating and sometimes I'll watch the gauge steadily drop back into the middle, then climb, drop, ect. It doesn't leak any coolant and i have to refill it about ever 100 miles because it all boils and steams out of the overflow. I originally thought it was the headgaskets until I saw it drop then rise, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check for circulation. If no circulation investigate either an obstruction or the thermostat.
