Time to change my pads, take off wheel, remove caliper, and it turns out I have ordered the wrong pads. What I have on the car is red calipers that have white lettering saying "SUBARU" and pads that are being held by two pins. What I ordered were not even close to that but thats what they are for. Are this brakes the same as Brembo Brakes or did the dealer throw in sti brakes? If so what pads do i need? (Need F+R)

They're special brakes that were only on the 06/07 WRX. They were on previous edition STIs before the GD body style adopted the Brembos.

Those are your stock brakes.

Something that I find common with some parts dealers is that they keep listing brake parts for "02-07" WRX's, where the pads are nowhere near the same between all years. Even some bugeye models are different in the same generation. 06-07 WRX's need a specific type of pad since they're fixed 4pot/2pot calipers as opposed to earlier and later model floatin calipers. Be sure to communicate with your parts dealers to make sure they're aware of this. If they try to feed you some line of BS that they should be the same, go somewhere else because they shouldn't be dealing parts.

Also, just as an aside, if you ever need to order rotors, be aware that your rear rotors are larger than other year WRX's as well. 06-07 WRX rear rotors are about 1" bigger in diameter from other generations.

The front rotor is identical. It's the rear that's smaller on the previous years
