Problem upload profile picture

Wanna show off my awesome new 2013 World Rally Blue WRX Premium Sedan

BUT...every profile picture I try to upload through Settings...fails

Does the pic have to be 640x480 or smaller? Do I have to enable some setting to allow a upload?

Upload the picture to photobucket or any photo sharing site. Copy the URL & paste in the "Insert image" pop up (3rd from right in the quick reply box). Also uncheck "Retrieve remote file".

Hey Rage - your WRX is a dead ringer for mine..though it looks like you have some extra chin spoiler action going on there...will try your suggestion.

Still can't upload a profile picture, regardless of ensuring the size is correct our trying to post a URL (ex: from Flixr)

I go to Settings, go to Edit Profile Picture, delete the current one that is there (though that picture does not show in my info box to the left when I post) and can't get a profile picture to upload.

If someone has the time over the w/e, can you list the steps of uploaded a photo...looks pretty easy but I always, when trying to upload a photo, I get a

vBulletin Message

Upload of file failed.

You're talking about an avatar image, not a profile image, which are two different things. I can see your profile pic when I go to your account, which is a new-gen blue WRX.

And an avatar pic has to be very small, what is it Ray, 180X180 or less?

Thanks for the feedback...I'm probably a little confused on profile pic -vs- avatar

I want my profile picture to show when I post...off to the left in what I call the Info bar (Name, Join Date, Location, etc)

I can also see the picture in my Setting/profile that I want posted...but as you see in this reply...it doesn't show....I'm pretty sure its a Operator Error (me)

Appreciate all feedback to rectify this issue so my profile pic shows my awesome new-gen World Rally Blue WRX

You need to upload a picture to the AVATAR pic. That's the one we see on the forums. Just used the same one you did before for your profile picture.
